Suamico Class Fleet Oiler:
  • Laid down, 5 April 1944, as Chalmette, a Maritime Administration type (T2-SE-A1) tanker hull under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 1926) at Kaiser Company, Swan Island Yard, Portland OR.
  • Launched (date unknown)
  • Delivered to the Maritime Commission, 19 June 1944 for charter to Pacific Tankers, San Francisco, CA. for operations
  • Sold to Standard-Vacuum Oil Co. in 1948 and renamed Stanvac Brisbane
  • Sold to Esso Standard Oil Co. of New York in 1951 and renamed Esso Lynchburg
  • Acquired by the Maritime Administration in 1955 and laid up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, James River, Fort Eustis, VA.
  • Acquired by the Navy, 17 November 1956 and assigned to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS) and placed in service as USNS Lynchburg (T-AO 154) for charter to Marine Transport Lines, New York City, N.Y. for operations
  • Placed out of service, struck from the Naval Register, and returned to the Maritime Administration for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Beaumont, TX., 29 October 1957
  • Placed in commercial service by Marine Transport Lines (date unknown) as a molten sulphur carrier and renamed Marine Duval
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
