Laid down, 13 March 1943, as Maritime Commission type (T2-SE-A1) tanker hull under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 362) at Sun Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., Chester, PA.

Launched, 29 June 1943

Delivered to her operator the Keystone Co., 12 July 1943

Sold for commercial service, 29 May 1947, to Petrol Tanker's Inc., Norfolk, VA.

Returned to the Maritime Commission for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, 16 December 1954

Reactivated by the Maritime Administration (MARAD), 3 October 1956

Custody to the Military Sea Transportation Service (MSTS), placed in service, 22 December 1956, as USNS Bull Run (T-AO-156)

Placed out of service and Struck from the Naval Register, 23 September 1957, returned to MARAD for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Olympia, WA. Group

Withdrawn from the Reserve Fleet, 25 April 1969, (Exchange Program), title to Sea-land Service, Inc. for conversion to a containership

As part of her conversion to a containership her forepart was replaced with the former C-4 hull vessel SS Mobile, ex SS Marine Panther forward section.

Sold to Litton Industries Leasing Corp., 15 December 1969, renamed SS Anchorage

Sold to Reynolds Leasing Corp., 28 February 1975

Sold foreign in 1975, renamed SS Rose City, later resold and renamed SS Arecibo

Final Disposition, sold for scrapping, 23 April 1981
