  • For the Okinawa Gunto operation USS APc-23 was assigned to:
    APc Flotilla Five, LT. G. D. Winsor USNR;
    APc Group Thirteen, LT. D. V. Horsburgh, USNR;
    APc Division Twenty-Five, LT Dennis Mann
  • Decommissioned, 1 April 1946, at Naval Station Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA.
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 17 April 1946
  • USS APc-23 earned three battle stars for World War II service
  • Transferred to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) in 1947
  • Sold, 8 April 1947, to Ramon Zuniga, San Ysidro, CA. Removed 9 April 1947
