  • Resolute was in active status at Naval Operating Base Norfolk, VA., assigned to Submarine Squadron 8 until transferred to Norshipco, for use at their Portsmouth, VA. yard
  • Towed to the west coast in December 2004
  • Sold in December 2004 to Todd-Pacific Shipyards, Seattle, WA.

    AFDM-10 303k The ensign is lowered for the last time as the floating dry-dock Resolute (AFDM-10) is deactivated following 58 years of service. Since arriving in Norfolk, VA. in 1983, Resolute safely dry-docked more than 139 submarines and completed 55 shipyard restricted availabilities for Atlantic Fleet submarines. Resolute was assigned to Submarine Squadron Six (SUBRON 6).
