BAT-10 transferred to the Royal Navy for the duration of World War II

Favourite Class Rescue Tug:
  • Laid down, 22 May 1942, as Defoe Hull 198, at Defoe Shipbuilding Co., Bay City, MI.
  • Launched, 12 August 1942
  • Delivered to the US Navy and transferred to Great Britain, 14 September 1942, under terms of the Lend Lease Act
  • Commissioned into the Royal Navy as His Majesty's Rescue Tug HMRT Eminent (W-116)
  • Returned to US custody, 13 June 1946, at Subic Bay, Philippines
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 8 May 1946
  • Sold by the Maritime Commission Foreign Liquidation Sale, 24 September 1946, to Chinese owners
  • Re-documented Ming 105 in 1946
  • Renamed Ming 305 in 1946
  • Final Disposition, deleted in 1992, scrapped in 2005
