  • Launched, 23 September 1972
  • Delivered for commercial service, 16 March 1973 to Lykes Bros Steamship Co.
  • Returned to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) in 1986 and renamed Cape Mohican
  • Assigned to MARAD Ready Reserve Force, (RRF)
  • Cape Mohican (T-AKR-5065) is one of the Military Sealift Command's (MSC) 3 Heavy Lift Barge Carriers and one of the 63 ships of the Sealift Program Office.
  • Cape Mohican (T-AKR-5065) is laid up as part of the National Defense Reserve Fleet in a layberth at Alameda, CA. in FOS-5 status
