  • Placed out of service, struck from the Naval Register, and transferred to the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), 5 June 1992
  • Commissioned NOAA Ship Oscar Elton Sette (R-335), 23 January 2003, homeported at Honolulu, HI.
