  • Delivered and placed in service, LT(jg) L R Brant, USNR, in charge, 24 October 1944
  • During World War II APL-12 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater
  • Towed from Boston to San Diego with APL-11 by ATA-214, 13 November 1944-xx January 1945
  • Broke loose from tow, 18 November 1944
  • Recovered by Umpqua (ATO-25) on 19th and delivered to Miami, 22 November 1944
  • Towed from San Diego to Pearl Harbor with APL-11 by ATA-201, 26 January-12 February 1945
  • Towed from Ulithi to San Pedro Bay, PI by Chowanoc (ATF-100), 19-24 May 1945
  • Departed Leyte for Okinawa in tow of Arikara (ATF-99), 23 September 1945
  • Tow lost in heavy seas about 240 miles SE of Formosa, 30 September 1945
  • Intentionally beached on Yonakuni Shima, Okinawa during Typhoon Louise, 02 October 1945
  • Refloated by Preserver (ARS-8) and Moctobi (ATF-105), 24 October 1945
  • Given limited repairs for local use
  • Intentionally destroyed with demolition charges, 26 January 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 25 February 1946
