AMS-255 was built for Japan.

MSC-218 Class Coastal Minesweeper: Laid down as Motor Minesweeper, AMS-255 by Stephens Brothers Inc., Stockton, CA; Reclassified by U. S. Navy as a Coastal Minesweeper, MSC-255, 7 February 1955; Completed 1 July 1956 and transferred to Japan; Commissioned Tsushima (MSC 653), 18 July 1956; Reclassified YAS-60, 31 March 1973; Decommissioned 20 March 1978 and struck from the Naval Register. Fate unknown.

Specifications: Displacement 375 t.; Length 144'; Beam 27'; Draft 8' 3"; Speed 14 kts; Complement 39; Armament one 20mm; Propulsion two 880shp General Motors 8-268A diesel engines, two shafts.
