SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser/PGM-1 Class Motor Gunboat:

  • Laid down 2 November 1942 by the Wilmington Boat Works, Inc., Wilmington, CA
  • Launched 1 May 1943
  • Commissioned USS SC-1366, 12 August 1943
  • Reclassified as a Motor Gunboat, PGM-8, 10 December 1943
  • Damaged 29 March 1944 when she runs aground off Kundu Kundu Island, Solomons
  • Transferred to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission in May 1947
  • Fate unknown.
