  • Built, circa 1924-25 as the wood-hull Coast Guard patrol craft CG-275 by Lake Union Dry Dock and Machine Works, Seattle, WA.
  • Launched, circa 1924-25
  • Delivered, circa 1924-25
  • Transferred to the US Navy in early-1934 and placed in service as YP-17
  • YP-17 was transported to Guam along with YP-16 aboard USS Ramapo (AO-12) arriving in Guam, 22 October 1940
  • YP-17 was assigned to the local defense and to provide naval surveillance and reconnaissance in the waters around the island
  • Captured by Japanese forces in December 1941
  • Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
  • YP-17 earned one battle star for World War II service for the Philippine Islands Operation (Including Guam)
