496k 28 October 2022: Cleveland, Ohio - The Bob Feller Act of Valor Award Foundation in conjunction with the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Major League Baseball led by the Cleveland Guardians, along with NEOPAT honor the USS Cooperstown (LCS 23) by presenting the United States Navy, The Bust of Bob Feller at Progressive Field. The bust is to be placed in the Chief’s mess of Cooperstown. The foundation represents the 39 National Baseball Hall of Fame Members who served in WWII led by Bob Feller, as he was the first professional athlete to enlist two days after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Bob Feller who served in WWII on the USS Alabama (BB 60).

23 February 2023: Naval Station Mayport, Fla.---
In a special ceremony, aboard USS Cooperstown (LCS 23), Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) LCS Training Facility (LTF) Atlantic’s
(LANT) Command Senior Chief (CMDCS) Keith Johnson and his wife, Cooperstown’s CMDCS Keona Johnson, are both frocked to command master chief.
