102k 13 December 2022: San Diego, Cal. - Cmdr. Christopher Polnaszek, center, commanding officer of Independence-variant littoral combat ship Pre-Commissioning Unit Augusta (LCS 34), is congratulated by Capt. Marc Crawford, commodore of Littoral Combat Ship Squadron ONE, during an assumption of command ceremony held at Littoral Combat Ship Squadron ONE. Littoral Combat Ships are fast, optimally-manned, mission-tailored surface combatants that operate in near-shore and open-ocean environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats. LCS integrate with joint, combined, manned and unmanned teams to support forward-presence, maritime security, sea control and deterrence missions around the globe.

Note About Contacts

Contact information is compiled from various sources over a period of time and may, or may not, be correct. Every effort has been
made to list the newest contact. However, our entry is only as good as the latest information that's been sent to us. We list only
a contact for the ship if one has been sent to us. We do NOT have crew lists or rosters available. Please see the Frequently Asked
Questions section on Navsource's Main Page for that information.
