  • Laid down, 11 July 1944, as a Maritime Commission type (C1-M-AV) hull under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 2164) at Leathem D Smith Shipbuilding Co., Sturgeon Bay, WI.
  • Launched, 30 November 1944
  • Acquired by the Navy, 3 July 1945
  • Commissioned USS Screven (AK-210), 2 August 1945, LT. Irving Stein, USNR in command
  • Decommissioned, 30 April 1946, at Baltimore, MD.
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission, 7 May 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 8 May 1946
  • Sold by the Maritime Commission in 1947 to Benham and Boyesin, Inc, Norway, renamed MV Norlindo
  • Resold to the Peruvian Navy in 1959, renamed Ilo
  • Final Disposition, sold for scrapping in October 1968 to Spanish shipbreakers at Valencia
