  • Laid down as SS Richard W. Dixie a Maritime Commission type (N3-S-A2) hull, under Maritime Commission contract (MC 2545), at Avondale Marine, Inc., New Orleans, LA.
  • Launched, May 1945
  • Delivered the Maritime Commission, date unknown
  • Acquired from the US Army by the Navy in 1949
  • Renamed Cepheus (AK-265), and leased to South Korea, 12 June 1951
  • Returned to US Naval custody, January 1960
  • Struck from the Naval Register, February 1960
  • Final Disposition, scrapped in 1960
