USS Conasauga (AOG-15) was transferred under the Lend-Lease program to France, renamed RFS Lac Blanc
Halawa Class Gasoline Tanker:
  • Built in 1932 as New York Socony at Bethlehem Shipbuilding Corp., Sparrows Point, MD. for the Socony Vacuum Oil Co., New York
  • Acquired by the US Navy, 23 March 1943
  • Commissioned USS Conasauga (AOG-15), 19 April 1943, LT. Raymond T. Traut, USNR, in command
  • Decommissioned, 25 December 1944 and transferred to France under the terms of the Lend-Lease Act
  • Commissioned into the French navy as RFS Lac Blanc, date unknown
  • Decommissioned by France, at Bizerte, Tunisia and returned to US custody, 19 October 1945, at Palermo, Sicily
  • Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
  • Final Disposition, equipment stripped and hulk sold, 19 December 1945 for scrapping
