  • Laid down, 31 October 1944, as a Maritime Commission type (T1-M-A2) tanker hull, under Maritime Commission contract, (MC 2069) at East Coast Shipyards Inc., Bayonne, N.J.
  • Launched, 17 December 1944
  • Commissioned USS Tularosa (AOG-43), 10 January 1945, LTjg. Rex Montgomery Stagner, USN in command
  • During World War II USS Tularosa (AOG-43) was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater
  • Decommissioned, 23 April 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 21 May 1946
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission, 28 August 1946, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Suisun Bay, Benecia, CA.
  • Final Disposition, sold for scrapping, 7 January 1964, to National Metals & Steel Corp. (PD-X-695 dated 3 January 1964) for $16,500.00, withdrawn from the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet and delivered to National Metal & Steel Co., 23 January 194.
