  • Laid down, 19 October 1943, under a Maritime Commission contract (MC Hull 1332) by Barrett & Hilp, Belair Shipyard, South San Francisco.
  • Launched, 31 December 1943
  • Named Limestone (IX-158), 7 February 1944
  • Renamed and redesignated Corundum (IX-164), 23 May 1944
  • Acquired by the US Navy from the Maritime Commission and converted for use as a landing craft and vehicle spare parts barge
  • Placed in service as Corundum (IX-164) 18 July 1944
  • During World War II Corundum (IX-164) was assigned to Service Force, Pacific Fleet and was towed to the Philippines where she was assigned to Service Division 101
  • Placed out of service, 8 August 1946, in the Philippines
  • Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
  • Delivered to the War Shipping Administration, date unknown
  • Final Disposition, Lost - declaration withdrawn by operations, 10 October 1948
