CSS Firefly


Sidewheel Steamer:
  • A wooden sidewheel steamer, purchased by the State of South Carolina in 1861 and transferred to the Confederate Navy in May of that year
  • Firefly was used as a small tender on the Savannah station from March 1863 to 21 December 1864, commanded by Acting Master's Mate R. M, C. Kennedy, Pilot W. Thomas, and Acting Master's Mate S. F. Hebbard
  • Final Disposition, burned by her officers at the fall of Savannah
