CDR. Daniel P. Duhan USN

Following his initial sea tours, CDR Duhan attended the Naval Post Graduate School earning a Masters of Science Degree in Operations Analysis. Upon completion of graduate school, CDR Duhan attended the Department Head course at Surface Warfare Officer School, Newport, RI.

CDR Duhan’s first department head tour was as Engineering Officer, MHC CREW LOYALTY, homeported in Ingleside, TX. As part of a rotational crew, he was embarked in USS CARDINAL (MHC 60), USS SHRIKE (MHC 62), and USS PELICAN (MHC 53), from February 2006 to February 2007. In February 2007, CDR Duhan reported to USS NEW ORLEANS (LPD 18) as Engineering Officer.

In January 2009, CDR Duhan reported to the Chief of Naval Operations Staff, Assessment Division (N81), as the Mine Warfare and Defensive Surface Warfare Analyst and Section Head. In March 2011, he reported to Navy Personnel Command, Surface Officer Distribution Division (PERS-41), where he served as the Branch Head for Surface Placement and then as Assistant CAPT Detailer and Director of Strategic Communications.

CDR Duhan has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit citations.
