USS Pearl Harbor (LSD-52)

CDR. Judd, A. Krier USN Commanding Officer

Commander Judd Krier is a native of Bath, Pennsylvania. He attended the United States Naval Academy, earning a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and was commissioned upon graduation in 1997.

Sea duty assignments for Commander Krier include his initial assignment in USS Vicksburg (CG 69) where he served as Strike Officer. In 2000 he reported to USS Truman (CVN 75) as Reactor Controls Division Officer, during which time he earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University. Upon graduating Department Head School with distinction, he was assigned to USS Ponce (LPD 15) where he served as First Lieutenant, and then to USS Enterprise (CVN 65) where he served as the After Station Officer. While assigned to the Enterprise, he completed Joint Professional Military Education Phase I training through the Air Command and Staff College. From 2013-2015, Commander Krier served as Executive Officer in USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52).

Ashore, Commander Krier served as an Electrical Engineering Master Instructor at the United States Naval Academy from 2002-2005. He reported to the Joint Staff in 2009, serving as a J5 Action Officer. In March 2011 he reported to OPNAV N133 where he served as the SWO(N) Program Manager.

Commander Krier’s personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2nd Award), and the Navy Achievement Medal (3rd Award).
