  • Launched, 7 December 1942
  • Commissioned USS Piedmont (AD-17), 5 January 1944, CDR. Malcolm D. MacGregor in command
  • During the Korean War Piedmont served in the Korean Theater from, 4 September to 27 October 1950, 1 August 1951 to 12 February 1952, 9 September 1952 to 9 March 1953 and from 11 April to 27 July 1954 and participated in the following campaigns:

  • Final Disposition, deleted from the Turkish Navy in 1994 and broken up for scrap in 1995
  • Piedmont received four battle stars for Korean War service and one campaign star for Vietnam War service
