  • Acquired by Whitney National Bank of New Orleans, date unknown
  • Chartered by Lykes Bros Steamship Co., date unknown, and renamed SS Charles Lykes
  • Sold by Whitney National Bank, 9 June 1986,to the US Department of Transportation, Maritime Administration,
  • Renamed SS Cape Isabel
  • Assigned to MARAD Ready Reserve Force, (RRF) as SS Cape Isabel (AKR-5062)
  • SS Cape Isabel (AKR-5062) is one of the Military Sealift Command's (MSC) 31 Roll-on/Roll-off ships and one of the 63 ships of the Sealift Program Office.
  • SS Cape Isabel is laid up as part of the National Defense Reserve Fleet in a layberth at Long Beach, CA. in ROS-5 status
