  • Built in 1999 as Bitten Theresa in Tuzla, Istanbul, Turkey
  • Purchased in 2000 by Sealift Inc., re-flagged US and renamed M/T Montauk
  • Chartered 2001 to the US Navy Military Sealift Command (MSC)
  • M/T Montauk is one of the Military Sealift Command's two long term chartered tankers and is part of the 28 ship Sealift Program
