  • Built in 2009-2010 by General Dynamics NASSCO in San Diego American Petroleum Tankers, LLC
  • Delivered in June 2010
  • Under long-term Charter in 2010 to the US Navy, assigned to the US Navy Military Sealift Command (MSC)
  • MT Empire State is one of the Military Sealift Command's long term chartered tankers and is part of the Sealift Program
