  • 11 November 1972: Commissioned at Long Beach Naval Shipyard, Cmdr. Theodore B. Shultz in command, assigned to DesRon 29 at Long Beach
  • 30 June 1975: Reclassified Frigate (FF 1088)
  • 15 January 1991: Assigned to Naval Reserve Force, at San Diego, Cal.
